Candidate will manage the flight test engineering team located in Palmdale, CA for a classified program\. Responsible for work assignments for team members and oversight of completion of tasks\. Direct interface with government customers, program Integrated Product Teams \(IPT\) and program leadership\. The selected applicant will be a member of a high\-performing multi\-site team and must be self\-motivated with a strong work ethic, time\-management, and interpersonal skills\. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills as the position will frequent internal interactions with project leads and other engineers in the group\. To include briefing at customer meetings\. This is a leadership role that requires a blend of technical expertise, program management skills, and collaboration with cross\-functional teams
Up to 25% travel required for this position\.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish the vision for and orchestrate successful flight test activities
- Establish standard test procedures based on lessons learned to build repeatability into test activities\.
- Ensure alignment of activities to program strategy
- Orchestrate the hiring, training, and evaluation of flight test staff required to achieve the vision for program test execution\.
- Develop and implement test plans, test procedures, and test reports to ensure safe and effective flight test execution
- Collaborate with program management, engineering, and operations teams to ensure that flight test is aligned with program priorities and objectives
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the flight test team on matters related to flight test execution
- Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and resource plans to support flight test execution
- Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence within the flight test team, and promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment

**Basic Qualifications:**
\*\*\*Must be a US Citizen\. This position is located at a facility that requires special access\. Active Top Secret Security Clearance, with an investigation in the last 5 years required\*\*\*
- Prior Flight Test Experience
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing flight test execution
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross\-functional teams and stakeholders
- Experience with DCMA Instruction 8210, Contractor's Flight and Ground Operations Experience with DFARS 252\.228\-7001 Ground and Flight Risk Clause
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance\.
- Bachelors Degree in STEM or Equivalent\.
- Active TS
**Desired Skills:**
- 10 years of prior military experience
- Prior program management or leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills and extensive experience interacting with the customer
- Familiarity with government protocols and procedures
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.
**Clearance Level:** Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
**Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $144,600 \- $255,070\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\.

\(Washington state applicants only\) Non\-represented full\-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off \(PTO\) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays\. Represented full time employees accrue 6\.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays\. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year\.
This position is incentive plan eligible\.
**Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $166,400 \- $288,305\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\.
