RN/Intensive Care Unit | Permanent Role

Location: McKinney, TX, 75071

Shift: 12 HR Nights | 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Compensation: Based on experience

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond promptly.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and protocols.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
Provide education and support to patients and families about critical care conditions and treatments.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital regulatory requirements.
Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
Current, active RN license in the state of Texas (or compact license).
Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within designated facility timeframe.
Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills.
Experience working with the following ICU patient populations: medical, surgical, trauma, neuro, sepsis, cardiac, vascular.
